Set up a facebook page to promote your links

Setting up a facebook fan page
Setting up a facebook fan page is a brilliant way to start your affiliate marketing campaign.
The first thing that you need to do is load up google and type in create a fan page. Once you have found the create a fan page site you will then see options on what page it is you want to set up.
Please choose the one that is most relevant to what you are going to promote. You then choose a category that is relevant to your advert or affiliate link. Facebook will then ask you for a few details, fill this out with great passion and detail as this will be the main focus on your advert. When they ask you for the website in the information DO NOT use the actual website always use your affiliate link to the site that you are promoting. Make sure you always use a profile picture for your page as this makes your page a lot more appealing.

That is the set up for your fan page now done and now on to promoting it.
I always start by posting a status first so when people do join your page they can always see what it is about. Start promoting your website first by inviting all your friends to join the page, you can then invite contacts from your email lists. Once this is done just sit back and wait for the likes to appear.

Always keep your page up to date with a new status at least 3 or 4 times a week. I always insert my affiliate link within my status so people know what to click to get the amazing offers you are promoting.

Once you have updated your status you will see it appear in you news feed as you will have liked your page. You will see on the post in your news feed there will be a share button. Always share your pages posts with your news feed as the people in your friends list that have not liked your page will see your post. This also can lead to more page likes.

You can create as many fan pages as you like and the beauty of this it is FREE, yes FREE traffic to your affiliate links is always a good thing to have. you can advertise you facebook page with facebooks own pay per click advertising system. I have explained pay per click advertising in a previous blog take a look here.
As i have explained before ppc can be very expensive so if you are on a budget i would stick to the free way of advertising for now until you start making your money.

If you would like an example of a facebook fan page take a look here at one i have set up myself. feel free to like my page if you like the offers.

I wish you all success with your facebook pages and for any further help take a look at the facebook ads guide here.

What is pay per click

Pay per click advertising

Pay per click advertising or ppc as it is known is a way of advertising websites, blogs or affiliate links.
The way pay per click works is you set up an account with the likes of google adwords or 7search this is the one i use as adwords are very strict and have blocked my account. Once you have set up an account you will then be invited to set up your advert, they will ask for a title, a short description and a destination URL i.e website or affiliate link.
Then once you have set up you advert you will choose multiple numbers of keywords that you think people will find your advert from. Choosing for the correct keywords is imperative for your online campaign as you want the correct people to find your advert.
For example if you was promoting an ebook for a golf swing you could choose words like golf swing trainer or the correct golf swing. The more popular the key word the more expensive it will be to get to the top of the list.
Once you have chosen your key words you will then set a maximum price per click for your individual keywords or sentence. Lets say you set your maximum price for the word golf at 5 pence and somebody else sets theirs at 7 they will be at the top of the list when that keyword is typed into a search engine. You can also set your maximum spend on a day for your advertising campaign.
Pay per click advertising is a great way to get traffic to your links but can also be very costly before you see a return.

If you would like further help with your ppc campaign take a look at this training program pay-per-click Academy.

If you would like further help with you keywords take a look at The money keyword finder training program.

Writing a blog

Writing your own blog

Writing your own blog is simple, writing a blog is simply what i am doing now.
The blogging platform i am using here is googles blogger but there is many free blogging platforms you can use.
The first thing you need to decide before starting your blog is what you want to write about. This should be something you are passionate about or know a lot about and you can be of help to other people. Once you have chosen what you want your blog to be about you then choose a product to promote, for example if your blog is about fishing then this could be a fishing ebook from clickbank.
It is always best if you know about the product you wish to promote and i suggest purchasing the product your self before promoting it so you know it is a good product.
You will keep readers too your blog if you know what you are talking about and promote a good product. On the other hand if the product you promote is no good you will loose the customers that purchased that product on your advice.

The way to insert links into your blog is by copying and your link from clickbank or where ever your product is from, highlight the text you would like to turn into your link and then click the link button, once you have done that insert your link into the box and click ok. This will then turn the text blue which will indicate this is a link.

If you write good bloggs people will trust your advice and maybe purchase the products you chose to promote.
getting traffic to your blog is the hardest part, this can be done a few ways. The obvious ones are tweeting your blog or sharing on facebook. Other ways are pay per click advertising but as i explained in a previous blogg this can be costly, also to get ranked well in google listings you need to be clever with the keywords you use within your blog. Keywords  are basically what people would type in to google or other search engines to find what they are looking for. I will be honest with you i am not brilliant with keywords so what i use is the money keyword finder.

If you feel you need more help take a look at the blogging with John Chow training program.

I hope i have been of some help to you and i will be writing my next blog shortly on my understanding of pay per click advertising.

Where to post your links with affiliate marketing

Choosing a product you want to promote

Choosing a product you want to promote is a very important part of affiliate marketing. don't just choose something because it has a high pay out value, make it a product that you are interested in and know something about.
By doing this you know the product and the market you are aiming for, it is no good somebody asking you a question about something and you not knowing the answer. This is defiantly bad business and you will loose a possible customer and the likely hood of them returning is very slim.

Where can you post your affiliate links

The Internet is a massive place and where you can post affiliate links is always a dilemma.
I will start just by letting you know a few places to get started for now and i will expand on this in later blogs.
The first place is an obvious one, what is one of the biggest sites on the Internet? Facebook obviously haha.
Facebook is a great place to post affiliate links, not the most beneficial but it is a start. First of all it is free to set up a page so no risk involved, also if you have a lot of friends you can invite them all to join your page.
The way to do this is to go on too google and type in create a fan page. There will then be a step by step guide on how to set up your page and invite people too join.
The second place is twitter, again this is free.
A lot of affiliate marketers will tell you a blog is a great way to promote products and i agree. As i have said in my previous blogs i am here to tell you how it works in a way you will understand and tell you the truth. The blogs i write just like this one are written to make me commissions, otherwise what is the point. I will explain how in later blogs.
Another way is by setting up your own website. If you do this right the website can make you alot of money just by placing adverts within it. I have set up my own golf forum just recently.
Too have a look how i did this take a look at a previous blogg of mine. Creating my own golf forum. This is still a work in progress and the first time of doing it but feel free to take a look at my site and if your a golf lover or know someone that is either you or them could join and help me with my new venture, just like i am trying to help with yours.
The last option i am going to give you in this blogg is pay per click advertising. Pay per click advertising is a great way too get your adverts seen but can be costly so if you haven't got alot of money to spend then i would leave this until you start earning and have a bigger understanding of affiliate marketing.
Pay per click sites like google adwords and 7search.com advertise your products and charge every time somebody clicks it.
Warning if you decide too try pay per click advertising be sure to read the rules as if you do not follow them your account can be blocked as was mine.
google adwords do not let you promote get rich quick schemes and mistook one of my ads that was advertising how to make coins on a computer game as a get rich quick scheme and now i am blocked.
If anybody has any advice on how to resolve this it will be very welcome.

I thank you all for reading and hope i have been of some help.
In my next blog i will explain more on writing your own blogs.

Getting started with affiliate marketing in the UK

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn some extra income and maybe eventually being able to make it your primary occupation.
Don't be fooled by some of the things you read about it that will say you will be earning thousands of dollars in your first week, if it was that easy everybody would be doing it. Some people will tell you that anybody can turn their hand at it and you don't need any computer skills what so ever.
This is not true, i learnt this the hard way with many sleepless nights wondering what it was i was doing wrong. The answer was nothing, all it was is that it does take time to learn all the different ways to promote products.
Affiliate marketing is like any other business, the more time and effort you put into it the more you get out of it. This is also true with the money side of the business, the more you can afford to put in the more possibility that you will get money out of it sooner.
Time is the key attribute to affiliate marketing though. In my next few blogs i am going to explain the different ways of affiliate marketing, to start in this blog i am going to explain the first few steps of how to get started.

Affiliate networks

To get yourself started with affiliate marketing the first thing you need to do is sign up too a few affiliate networks. Now i will give you a couple just to get you started which are very easy and totally free to sign up too.
The first network i recommend you to sign up too is clickbank. This has a massive range of digital products to promote such as digital e-books for all kinds of products for anything you can possibly think of, from golf tips too gardening.
The second network i recommend is affiliate future. Here you will find different kinds of products to promote, from sporting goods websites too charity websites.
There are many more affiliate sites, but these kind of websites are the key websites you need to make you money.

programmes you may find useful

There are quite a few affiliate training websites you may find useful. These programmes do sometimes charge a small fee to enter a members only lounge that will be full of affiliate marketing training and ideas. some do promise to make you rich overnight, as i have said never believe this but don't let this put you off either a lot of these programmes can help with you online marketing venture.
i will show couple of these that have helped me on my way when i have been stuck.
====> google sniper. This is a free webinar explaining the training and product they are selling. Take a look click here.

====> The work from no home. This is also a free webinar.
Take your time to watch the videos, don't worry if you do not want to take the jump just yet to sign up too these programmes, i was very weary of it too until i had more of an idea of what affiliate marketing actually was.

In my next blog i will explain where it is you will post your links.
From on your own website to social networking sites.
Thank you for reading and i hope this and my next few blogs will be of much help.

UK Affiliate marketing and making money from home for beginers

Introduction

Hi my name is Dwain and i am writing this to inform people on in the UK great ways to make money online from home.
Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a 25 year old male with 1 son and a new baby on the way, I work in a dead end job selling vehicle car parts for a very small wage.
As a result of needing some extra income i have looked into making money online, The way i am trying to do this is with affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing

What is affiliate marketing? Well affiliate marketing is promoting a company's products in the big world of the Internet.
The way you will promote their products will be by first signing up to a few affiliate market places. An example of these will be www.clickbank.com or www.affiliatefuture.co.uk.
Signing up to these are totally free, What you do once you have signed up is find a product which you would like to promote and they will supply you with your personal affiliate link.
These links are what you will be posting on the internet either by posting them in your website, Creating a fan page on social networking sites or any other ways you can think of promoting them.
Once you are promoting these products and people click your link and make a purchase you will be paid a commission.
There are a quite a few programmes that you can join to see exactly how this is done. A lot of affiliate marketing programmes are american, do not let this scare you away. do not forget the $ looks alot more than the £, so for example $40 is arround £26.63
Here is one to look at which i have found invaluable and seemed to work for me. I am not saying it will work for everyone but it has for me. the program is called google sniper take a look at the free webinar click here.

Working from home

I am currently only doing this in my spare time whilst still in my current job. I am currently making some really good commission with just spending an hour a night after work working from home.
My ultimate goal now i have had a taste of what can be done with affiliate marketing is to eventually give up working full time.
When i achieve my goals i can concentrate on what is important in life which is family, I can stop worrying about cash flow stop worrying about working a 40 hour week just to survive and start living.
Please take your time and have a think about what it is that you want in life take both hands and grab it like i am doing.
I promise you will not regret it.

In my next few posts i am going to explain my understanding of affiliate marketing and try to help others by explaining it in a language that the everybody will understand and not by using a load of technical terms.
If you are serious about trying affiliate marketing subscribe to my blog and keep reading.

Thank you for reading take your time and look at the programmes i have shown you and i wish you all success in affiliate marketing.
